Designing an audio guide for the National Gallery of Victoria

Working as part of a team to re-imagine the NGV audio guide, it was my responsibility for all aspects of the user interface. The audio guide is a sensory experience that enables patrons to learn about different artworks as they navigate their way through exhibitions.
We chose to reference customer experience features from audio apps like Soundcloud and Spotify to add value to the exhibitions experience while applying existing visual branding and assets from major exhibitions that would make up the visual layer of the app.
The project involved rounds of discovery sessions, iterating on designs and testing prototypes with customers to create the best experience.
The final product was deemed a success in that we had over 15,000 patrons purchasing the app as well as many positive reviews.
