Re-designing the e-newsletter for the National Gallery of Victoria

Working as part of a small team that was responsible for reimagining the NGV e-newsletter, I was responsible for designing e-newsletter templates that would give internal departments the freedom to self publish newsletters. Prior to this project, the multimedia team hard coded content that was briefed in by various museum departments. It was decided that to work more efficiently, the multimedia team would create new templates that would be built on a CMS.

The project involved many stakeholders as we wanted to enable other departments (marketing, media, curatorial, retail) to self publish content. There where multiple rounds of feedback and iterating on template designs that would later be built in house. Once the templates where built in to the templates, we trained stakeholders in how to use the tool and where able to get more feedback and raised any bugs that came up during that process.

Once the new e-newsletter designs went live, we saw a 15% increase in engagement and a 12% increase in e-newsletter sign ups.
